FAQ
Training with Notch 4
Yes. You see a 3D replay and a score for every rep, the app says what to change in plain words, and the 12-week programs list the exercises for each training day.
A workout app logs what you type in. Notch has 4 sensors on your body reading the lift itself: depth, bar speed and time under tension, on every rep.
No. The sensors are on your body, so they read exercises with your own weight as well as with dumbbells, barbells and machines. They work the same at home, outside or in any gym.
No. Each set gets a score first. If you want to know why, the app says it in plain words, and the workout ends with a paragraph on what held up and what to change.
The Kit 3
4 sensors, breathable mesh straps, a t-shirt that holds the chest sensor, a fast charging station with a USB cord, and a pouch to carry it all. Shipping is free.
Each sensor runs for 6 to 7 workouts on a charge. The station charges all 4 at once from a USB cord, so they go back on it between workouts.
Each sensor is 32 by 32 by 8 mm and weighs 6 g. They sit on mesh straps on the upper arm, the thigh and the back of the hip, the chest sensor rides in the t-shirt, and they are waterproof to 1 meter, so sweat does nothing to them.
The app 2
Not yet. Today the app is for iPhone.
Yes, with a smaller set of features. The app reminds you to connect them when you are ready.
